Jira is a makeup super-hira! (Superhero, for those who can’t “hear” the phonetic fun.)
Jira was my hair and makeup stylist for my wedding and her team also did the hair and makeup for my five bridesmaids. Everyone looked incredible and everyone’s hair and makeup lasted well through the entire wedding (a good 8 hours and beyond).
I purposely waited a while to write this review because I wanted to see all my wedding photos and my wedding video to do a true rating. Truly 5 stars – everyone (especially me!) looked radiant in all mediums. It doesn’t surprise me though because the way I found out about Wowpretty/Jira is THROUGH a video. (I was screening for videographers and I saw a Thomas Hughes video – review to come – and one bride’s makeup was just natural, glowing and beautiful and I said, “I want that look!” and I saw her credits on the video’s website.)
I did a trial session with Jira and it was totally worth it. Some people think it’s pricey to do, but hey, would you buy a car without taking it for a test drive? It’s your wedding and you’ve got to make sure that the stylist makes you look your best and that you still feel like “you”, only more gorgeous on your wedding day!
This is how much I endorse Jira:
1) I entrusted her to cut my long hair for my pre-wedding haircut. Not only was it optimal for the updo I had chosen, but months later, it remained an all-around awesome haircut.
2) My Maid of Honor hired Jira to do her makeup for a special event (outside of my wedding events)and even hired her for makeup lessons.
3) I ONLY wanted Jira to do my hair and makeup. She has a very talented crew, but I wanted the best of the best!
My bridemaids and I looked amazingly beautiful on my wedding day, Jira and her team were on time and very professional and Jira was very responsive to any questions or style requests. Magnifique!

Reviewed on Wedding wire! Wowpretty was one of the first vendors i hired almost immediately after i got engaged. I already knew that Jira was one of the best in the industry and i booked her quick because she gets booked up fast! I didn’t even go in for a trial and went with my gut that she would do a great job. I ended up doing a trial after i booked her and it came out exactly the way i envisioned. She understood that i wanted to look natural but still have color. She took her time to make my hair and makeup perfect. On the day of the wedding, she and four of her makeup artists all arrived on time at my hotel. They worked their butts off to get myself, 8 of my bridesmaids and 2 mothers done in 3 hours! Jira made my makeup perfect and it stayed put all day ( 6 am-midnight) ! She is extremely talented at what she does. Do not hesitate to book her if you are looking for a top notch makeup/hair team!

It was a Beautiful destination wedding at Font Mason on Jan 19, 2013. Our lovely couple live in San Diego but right after Jira did Emily’s trial session, she reserved her wedding day right away. Emily is lovely client and so easy to work with. Jira had such a wonderful time on the wedding day working on Emily along with taking care of six additional women. A little about WP Anna is a makeup artist and hair stylist. She has over 10 years experience in the beauty industry and licensed cosmetologist. She is also certified in Bridal Makeup by The Makeup Institute and she has Trained in makeup from the Prestigious Hair and makeup San Francisco and Los Angeles. She is certified in airbrushing by TEMPTU PRO.

Bernardus Lodge Carmel Valley Wedding Photo Andrea + Jason
Andrea knew us from referral by Frances Li of Charmed Events Group. We heard from Andrea, right after she saw our site, she booked the services on her wedding, which was at Bernardus Lodge Carmel Valley, included her big group (We would say around 6-9 women, We could not remember of the real number) she booked a year ahead and came down from LA to do her trial session the same day with her engagement photo. That was such a great idea to do after getting the Makeup and Hair done on the same day, This way test and see how the Makeup and Hair holds up and get a view how it will look in a photo.
We asked her to see her engagement as well to do more homework from the photos. Sometimes we need to add more adjustments in M&H in order to look the best on the wedding day. It is not only Andrea makeup and hair that we were concerned with but also the makeup and hair for her groom and wedding party , but her engagement photos are so beautiful as same as her wedding photography….. we were so happy to be just a small part of the day.
