I just had my trial hair and makeup session for my wedding with Yoong today and was so pleased with the experience! Yoong was a true professional, warm, friendly and knowledgeable. I wasn’t sure what exactly I wanted to do in terms of my hair and makeup on my big day other than that I wanted my makeup to be natural and that I didn’t want a tight updo. As she was applying my makeup, Yoong was meticulous in taking a step back throughout the process to see how the shades and application looked. She was very precise with her technique, making my face look flawless and glowing. I felt her years of experience was evident in her brush strokes, airbrush application and touch-ups. The makeup was beautiful, enhancing my features and making me look better than I thought possible. 
Yoong was also a great listener when it came to my hair. As she tried first a half-do and then a loose look per my request, she really showed each option at its best (which of course her talent made it even harder for me to decide which style to go with ) The half-do was very intricate and pinned beautifully and the loose look was pretty as well. With both styles, she made my hair look shiny and gorgeous! Throughout the session, I also really appreciated the tips Yoong gave me for the days up to my wedding. I also enjoyed meeting the owner, Jira. She was very warm and friendly and took the time to ask about the wedding and what I was hoping to achieve in terms of my look on my big day. Both of them were wonderful! One plus is that Wowpretty also features their own cosmetic line, JiraCouture. I wasn’t pressured to buy but I wanted to anyway because the lip gloss Yoong applied was so pretty and could conveniently be used for touch-ups on the big day. I also really appreciated that they carried hair accessories which Yoong was able to incorporate during my trial session and it was really nice that they sell these as well at a really reasonable price. All in all, I walked out very happy and can’t wait for the big day. With all the planning for the big day, I feel so happy knowing that my bridal party’s hair and makeup as well as my own will be one less thing to worry about in JiraCouture team’s trusted and knowledgeable hands.

We got married in Lana’i, Hawaii and Jira traveled to Hawaii to do our hair and makeup. Our wedding party included 3 bridesmaids, a flower girl, mother of bride, and myself.
From the first time I met Jira for the trial consultation, she was a great listener about how I envisioned my look for the big day. She also recommended different ways to do my makeup to bring more attention to my eyes and ways to give the illusion of a slimmer face. At the same trial consultation, Jira’s expert hands worked magic with my hair. I have long hair and it;s always long & straight. Within 30 min, Jira was able to give me 8 diff. styles, and each was so beautiful that it was difficult to pick one for the big day because I wanted them all. Jira was very flexible with her travel schedule that it made coordinating her flight and hotel very stress free for me as the bride. On our big day, I honestly have never ever felt and looked more beautiful. Keep in mind that the temperature was approaching 100F in Hawaii, there was no cloud in the sky, light wind, and I was in a very heavy tulle dress. With that said, Jira’s expert hands and products made me feel so natural, as if I didn’t have makeup on. I didn’t feel at all like I was in danger of my makeup melting off. In fact, my makeup stayed on all afternoon and into the night and I never once needed a touch up (except for my lipstick). I quite literally took my husband’s breath away (he cried as I walked down) that he, and all my family, commented on how beautiful the hair and makeup was. So many of my friends have asked for Jira’s info. In the photos that my family took (we’re still waiting for the professional photos as I write this) my skin looked so luminous, like i was glowing, my blush was the perfect shade giving me that “blushing bride” look, and my eyes have never been so perfectly smoked.
I am so thankful for Jira’s work in making my dream come true to help me feel literally like the prettiest girl in the world for one day. Gillian~

A beautiful couple Francis and Linda came for a WP makeup lesson today. Francis was looking for us to help some darker circles, how to use hi light, darker eyes, and get her perfect skin to glow (but not yellow). Linda was looking for radiant shimmer and a lot of glow. She wanted to also try a 1950′s look (red lips) and smokey eyes.

Jane, 40 years old who works in a Hospital looks so young and wants to stay feeling young everyday. She told me how she wants to feel good with her own beauty and that she has a hard time finding the right foundation. So finally she came to take a WP makeup class to get a wedding makeup look and a look with a good light foundation that can stay on her even when she is sweating in the operating room. While working she has to wear a surgical mask across fer face but her foundation becomes messy and sticks to the mask. She also doesn’t like the foundation that she has been using. Her 19 years old son just bought her cosmetic gifts (pic) he wanted her to use and feel young like her look.
So here are the before/after pics. In the class we showed her tricks how to use her gift cosmetics , recommended to her the correct right light foundation, and highly recommended her a concealer. She is so happy and booked us for another class with her girlfriends.

France’s a young engineer who is 27 came for her WP class. She said she has a problem where her skin is way too white and she wanted us to show how to be more tan without it looking obvious. She also wanted to learn how to use light bronze, light /dark smokey eyes, and make her face look flawless. Here is her excellent results done by her work!

Karen has a uneven skin tones with red color on her face that never disappears even after she went her Dr for special skin treatments. Today she came for her WP makeup lesson. She wanted to find the one easy foundation to use that can cover the red area, blend her skin and even out her neck area. She was also looking for moisture so her skin would not look dry and the makeup not look cakey. So I recommended to her Jira Couture tinted primer, SPF 20.
Karen also had a hard time finding eye shadow and concealer that would not create lines after using. Here is Karen in her before/after pics. Great Job, Karen!!!
